NEDERLAND, Colo. – Louison Accambray and Johannes Flaaten teamed up to win the annual Nor-Alp Schralp Saturday at Eldora, the Colorado Ski Team’s end of season celebration.
The intrasquad competition has teams of two, normally one alpine and one Nordic skier of opposite genders, teaming up to compete in both an alpine and Nordic race. In alpine, the skiers get to take the best time of two runs, combined with your teammates time with a multiplier of three added. Then the teams compete in a short Nordic race, relay style, with each skier competing two laps. The times are added together and the fastest time wins.
Accambray and Flaaten’s combined time ended up being 5:29.62 with an alpine time of 51.54 and a Nordic time of 2:55. They narrowly edged out Trey Jones and Astri Lunde overall time of 5:31.08 while Luka Riley and Elena Exenberger took third with a 5:52.42 total time.
In alpine, Jacob Dilling had the fastest time down the course in a time of 22.63 seconds, while Jones has the fastest tie from Nordic skiers on the alpine course at 25.43 seconds.
Will Koch and Eemil Juntunen won the Nordic relay with a time of 2:36 followed closely by Jones and Lunde in 2:39. Click Here for more
