Craig Carton highlights Kenny Washington, the man who integrated the NFL in 1946 after a ban on black players lasted from 1934 to 1945. Washington was the first All-American football player in UCLA history in 1939 (also a member of the school’s baseball team). He was the first black player signed by the Los Angeles Rams.
